It is approximately 180 miles (290 kilometers) from Denver to Steamboat Springs. The drive time is generally 4 to 4.5 hours, depending upon traffic, road, and weather conditions. Because of this we cannot be responsible for missed flights. DIA recommends arriving at the airport at least 90 minutes prior to domestic departures, and 2 hours prior to international departures. We recommend scheduling your departure from Steamboat Springs at least 6 hours prior to your flight's departure time, especially on Sunday afternoons during the Winter & Summer seasons - very heavy traffic..
